Jewelry Materials + Care
At Love, Paige Designs, we offer retailer-ready charms, chains, and jewelry components curated for charm bars and everyday wear. Below is helpful information on the materials we use most often, along with best practices for care.
Alloy + Enamel Charms
Many of our charms are crafted from alloy metal and finished with colorful enamel detailing.
Care Notes:
- Avoid excessive moisture to preserve the finish
- Enamel may scratch if stored against other metal pieces
- Best stored separately in pouches or trays
Plated Brass Charms
Some of our chains and findings are made from brass and finished with 18K gold plating for an elevated look.
Care Notes:
- Plated jewelry should be kept away from water, perfumes, and lotions
- Over time, natural wear may occur depending on use
- Store in a dry environment to extend the life of the plating
Stainless Steel (Ion Plated/PVD Coated)
We also offer select pieces made from stainless steel, including styles finished with ion plating (IP) or PVD coating.
These finishes are known for being:
- More durable
- More water-resistant
- Longer-lasting than traditional plating
Care Notes:
- While more resistant to tarnishing, we still recommend avoiding harsh chemicals
- Clean gently with a soft cloth after wear
General Care Recommendations
To keep jewelry looking its best:
- Avoid contact with chemicals, perfumes, and cleaning products
- Remove jewelry before swimming or showering for longest wear
- Store pieces in a cool, dry place away from humidity
- Use a soft cloth to gently polish metal surfaces
Wholesale Tip for Retailers
We encourage boutiques and charm bar retailers to share this care guidance with customers purchasing finished charm jewelry.
